Shellharbour track their assets with FieldWorker |
Using the FieldWorker mobile technology platform Angie Patrikka, Network Administrator at Shellharbour City Council, has designed a series of electronic forms to replace the old paper forms that had previously made the tracking of assets a rather cumbersome task. These “smart” forms run on any windows based client and will automatically scale depending on the mobile device being used. Council currently uses a mix of PDA’s and Laptops.
The goal for council was to streamline the process and have greater accuracy and availability of information relating to their assets. With a two-way communication stream between their asset management system and the FieldWorker database they have been able to eliminate double handling of information which has not only greatly reduced the time involved in updating their asset management system, but also markedly improved the accuracy of the information. They have thus been able to easily achieve their initial goals.
“FieldWorker, being a Rapid Application Development (RAD) tool, gives us the power to develop a single, consistent platform across multiple applications for all our mobile requirements. This will greatly reduce the time to deploy mobile applications as we are not dependant on the availability of application providers and their development teams” says Mike Leonard, Manager of Information Systems at Shellharbour City Council.

Acer Arena implement Inzenius |
Acer Arena, one of Sydney’s premier entertainment venues, recently selected Inzenius to replace their existing rostering and payroll systems.
The tight integration of rostering, payroll and HR functions within the Inzenius system means that once rosters have been approved this information flows through to payroll thus eliminating further data entry and possible points of failure.
